What Is Water Well Drilling?

After buying a house or parcel of land for a commercial property, you need access to a water source. Mississippi has abundant water, but drilling a water well ensures that you always have access to it. Fitzgerald Well Service has decades of experience drilling for water wells & knowing where to place them correctly to provide homeowners & business owners with water access. These water formations are bodies of water that move through sand or gravel & can be difficult to access without the proper knowledge & equipment. 

Once we drill a hole for the well, a plastic tube called a casing is inserted into the hole. It extends from the surface to the aquifer, which supplies the well with groundwater. This is sealed with a well cap. Well screens are usually added at the base of the casing for extra filtration & to prevent dirt & sediment from entering the water supply. We fill the gap between the casing & the well with a special grout & clean up the area. 

Finally, we install the submersible pump which delivers water to your home or property. You can install a submersible pump or a hand pump, which is useful for accessing water when you don’t have electricity.
